ARA-----------------------------Today, the country faces numerous grave and fundamental challenges; yet, the government is engaged in the act of diverting public attention by orchestrating debates on frivolous topics. This is indicative of petty politics and is not in the national interest.

What the country needs today is a uniform and robust policy regarding education, healthcare, and justice; however, no substantive discussions are taking place on these critical issues. The common people are suffering under the burden of rising inflation, yet no serious initiative to bring it under control is visible.

Lives are being lost due to the adulteration of medicines and food products; why is there no concrete action or discussion regarding this? Why does the government remain silent on matters concerning national security, rising unemployment, and the systemic flaws within the education system? Even today, the provision of one teacher for every 40 students—a basic standard—has not been ensured, which is a matter of grave concern.

There is talk of increasing the number of seats for Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs), even though there is no clarity regarding the actual necessity of such a move. Meanwhile, given that women constitute nearly 50 percent of the population, why are political parties hesitating to grant them equal representation? The demand to ensure representation for the Dalit, Backward, and Extremely Backward classes within the framework of women's reservation is entirely just and equitable.

Promises made have gone unfulfilled. Pledges such as creating 20 million jobs annually, doubling farmers' incomes, and providing diesel, petrol, and cooking gas at affordable rates have all proven to be mere rhetoric. The claim of curbing corruption has also turned out to be hollow.

People from all religions and social strata struggled together to secure the nation's independence; however, it is deeply unfortunate that, in the post-independence era, society is being divided along religious lines. The government's act of inciting religious sentiments is completely reprehensible and serves only to undermine social harmony.

We urge the government to focus its attention on genuine issues of public interest and to take concrete, effective measures to strengthen the nation
